A large financial institution operating in the banking industry expecting increased sales in remote channels

Expectations

Klient oczekiwał zwiększenia sprzedaży limitu kredytowego z kanału zdalnego, a co za tym idzie ograniczenia kosztów tego kredytu. Dodatkowym oczekiwaniem było poprawienie doświadczeń klienta (omnikanałowość), a w konsekwencji poprawienie wskaźnika konwersji procesów sprzedażowych (również tych inicjowanych w kanałach stacjonarnych) oraz poprawy postrzegania klienta przez jego klientów.

Project

The client decided to expand their market offering by enabling the sale of credit products (such as revolving credit lines and overdraft facilities) via web and mobile platforms, while also embracing an omnichannel sales approach (starting the process in one channel and completing it in another). In addition to the challenges already described in the credit card application initiative, products like credit limits or account overdrafts introduced new complexities. These included a broad product range and the need to support existing products, including those migrated from other banks. A results-focused approach allowed the project team to consistently move in the direction expected by the client.

Thanks to the establishment of a shared goal with the client, the project team was able to significantly simplify the processes while still accommodating special cases (e.g., complex income sources). Integration with the bank’s environment (involving over 100 integration services) posed a challenge, but technical verification carried out from the beginning of the project helped mitigate this risk early on.

Results

After the implementation, customers began to use the new functionality on a mass scale, which significantly reduced the costs of handling the process, as well as increasing the sales volume. The introduction of a simplified credit risk assessment and omnichannel procedure improved customer experience.
