Step-by-step: inventory, standardization, automation
The first phase involved a full inventory of all IT processes related to access management and documenting their end-to-end flows. This was followed by standardization of approval paths and definition of authorization levels required to trigger specific types of access.
Based on this foundation, a system built on webMethods BPMS was implemented, including automated approval for standard requests and automatic renewal of user permissions.
