A ready-made platform – but disconnected from business operations
BigCommerce provided the storefront and checkout experience, but lacked integration with fulfillment systems, order management, and status updates – all of which are critical for operational execution. An additional constraint was the exclusion of webhooks for security reasons, requiring an alternative approach to data synchronization.

Microservices, polling, and bidirectional integration
We designed a dedicated polling mechanism for the BigCommerce platform that securely and efficiently transfers new orders and updates into the client’s internal systems. In parallel, we implemented a reverse integration layer that updates order statuses in BigCommerce based on fulfillment system data.
The project was delivered in a hybrid model, with a team composed of Finture engineers and client-side specialists, operating entirely in English.

A microservices-based architecture ensured scalability and independence of individual integration components. The implemented solution supports the full order lifecycle – from placement, through fulfillment, to status updates visible to the end customer.
