The project simultaneously involved Sales, Digital Banking, and multiple IT teams. The key challenge was designing a solution that would allow the configurable introduction of new gift card types, dynamic card values, and various settlement models – while maintaining a frictionless purchasing experience for the end customer.
Key Requirement
We built a solution that enables configuration-based management of the gift card catalog. New card types, denomination values, and settlement models can be introduced without developer involvement. Integration with more than 10 content providers (gift card partners) and 15+ internal banking services ensured complete end-to-end process coverage.
The project involved five bank departments and was delivered within the agreed timeline, budget, and functional scope.
Bank customers can purchase a digital gift card in just three steps and receive it within 30 seconds of submitting their request – through either the web channel or the mobile application. For the bank, the solution delivers a new revenue stream, a competitive differentiator, and a fully automated process with no manual handling costs.
